    魔芋是一种多年生草木植物。地下块茎为扁球形,个大,叶柄粗壮,圆柱形,淡绿色,有暗紫色斑,掌状复叶,生长在疏林下,具有水平降血糖、降血脂、降压,散毒、养颜、通脉、减肥、开胃等多功能。

    型态 : 株高约40~70公分,地下有球茎,一株只长一叶,羽状复叶,叶柄粗长似茎,开花紫红色,有异臭味,地下球茎圆形,为主食部位,内含大量淀粉,煮熟冷却后即为半透明状食品。

    用途 : 为食用蔬菜,其几乎没有热量,日本人称它为「胃肠清道夫」,为天然高纤之健康食品。
